AUSTRALIA’S TEMPORARY SKILLS SHORTAGE (TSS)

The Subclass 482 Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) visa is designed to address temporary skill shortages in the Australian labor market. It allows Australian employers to sponsor skilled overseas workers to fill positions that they are unable to fill with local talent. This visa aims to ensure that businesses have access to the skills they need to grow and compete globally.



Priority: with Trades Recognition Australia (TRA) and International English Language Testing System (IELTS)

PATHWAY to Permanent Residency
Position: CHEF DE PARTIE LEVEL or above
SALARY: Minimum of AUD$70,000 per annum plus superannuation

WORK EXPERIENCE

Applicants must have the skills necessary to perform the nominated occupation.
As well as at least 2 years work experience in that occupation or a related field.
Work experience undertaken on a full-time basis in the last five (5) years.
This period does not need to be continuous.
Equivalent part-time work may also qualify if experience and skills are relevant and current.
Casual employment will not be counted.



QUALIFICATION

A diploma/degree in Culinary with 2 years of work experience.
OR a minimum of 3 years work experience if there is no qualification.
OR 5 years experience at the Chef level if you’re from: Philippines, Bangladesh, Brazil, China, Fiji, Hong Kong, India, Macau, Nepal, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, South Africa, Thailand, Vietnam, Zimbabwe.
Previous employment reference on company letterhead with signature from Employer that demonstrates you have 2-3 years work experience in the nominated occupation.
